Types of Sky Boxes
Finding the Model of Your Sky Box
Sky have evolved their offering since launching in 1990, from the satellite dishes and boxes to Sky TV and Sky GO. Specifically with the Sky boxes, can identify which one you have by :
- Colour
- Size
- Buttons
It is important to know what box you are using in order to fix any technical issues that arise. You can check your box digital by pressing Home > Settings > System Info > Hardware version on your remote to find the number and identify your box type and capabilities or you can look on the sticker on the underside of the box:

The above are the only boxes Sky now actively supplies and below is a list of boxes in circulation which you may still have, but have been discontinued by Sky.
- Sky Q - 32B0xx - Older Sky Q 2TB boxes (UHD but pre-HDR).
- Sky Q - 32B1xx - Sky Q 2TB boxes with UHD and HDR support.
- Sky Q - 32B2xx - Newer 1TB (UHD/HDR) or 2TB (UHD/HDR) models, with 32B203/04 being 1TB UHD and 32B205/06 being 1TB or 2TB.
- Sky Q - 32Cxx - Older Sky Q 1TB boxes (HD only, no 4K/UHD).
- Sky Q - 32Dxx: Sky Q Mini boxes for multi-room viewing (e.g., 32D0xx, 32D1xx
- Sky+ HD - DRX895WL: 2TB. Built in Wi-Fi Lite Box (Telephone ports removed)
- Sky +HD - DRX890WL: 500GB. Built in Wi-Fi Lite Box (Telephone ports removed)
- Sky HD - DRX595L: No Hard drive. SkyHD STB for Multi-room & Free-sat from Sky, (Telephone Port removed).
